Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Syrie Funeral Home in Lafayette, LA for George Wilson, 58, who died August 10, 2012 at his residence.

Services will be conducted by Pastor Dempsey Davis, Sr.

Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro, LA.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa; three step-daughters, Vanessa (Fredrick), Candace (Shannon), both of Breaux Bridge, LA, Franchester (John) of Shreveport, LA; one step-son, Justin of Breaux Bridge, LA; one sister, Louise Wilson of Baton Rouge, LA; three brothers, Joseph, Lionel and James Wilson of Baton Rouge, LA; fifteen grandchildren; one great-grandson and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Wilson, Sr. and Lilly Mae Wilson; two sisters, Barbara Jean London and Clara Mae Dorthy.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. James Cole and staff, Our Lady of Lourdes Oncology floor and Heart of Hospice staff, especially Felicia Noel.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Syrie Funeral Home from 7 a.m. until time of service.
