Lafayette – Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Syrie Funeral Home for Curlis James “Hoss” Beanabee.

On July 26, 2012, Curlis James “Hoss” Beanabee departed this life. Curlis was born on May 11, 1948 in Lafayette, LA to Mary Dugas. Curlis attended Paul Breaux High School and graduated in 1966, where he was a star quarterback. He had been a life- long resident of Lafayette, LA and worked as a Landscaper.

Left behind to cherish his memory are: his mother Mary Dugas; brother, Jason Boudreaux; four children, Stephanie Coleman (Willie Dean) of Elkhart, IN., Detra Narcisse of Lafayette, LA., Johnell Narcisse Sr. (Tracey) of Beaumont, TX and Brandy Martin of New Orleans, LA.; 15 grandchildren; former spouse, Lilly Alexander; friend, Ethel Martin and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ricky Benabee and Harvey Benabee; Mable Narcisse and daughter LaShawn Narcisse; godchild, Nathaniel Narcisse.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Syrie Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
