Lafayette – Memorial services will be held Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Syrie Funeral Home for Lester John Alexander, 67, who passed away July 27, 2012 at his residence.

Services will be conducted by Fr. Lambert Lein, SVD.

Lester was born August 28, 1944 in Breaux Bridge, LA to Dalton Joseph Alexander and Rose Mae Alexander. He was educated at Carver High School. He worked at various jobs – caterer, bartender and house cleaning. He was well loved and will be missed by all who loved him.

He is survived by his sisters, Eula M. (James)Mouton of Port Arthur, TX, Prenella A. Alexander of Lafayette, Alma Alexander of Breaux Bridge, Lovenia Gray of Lake Charles; brother, Dalton (Marilyn) Alexander of Gulfport, MS; one aunt, Louvenia Babineaux of Scott; his best friend, Scott Cason of Lafayette and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents. The family will receive visitors Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Syrie Funeral Home from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.
