Lafayette - Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for Ms. Irene Andres whose name was entered into the Book of Life at the age of 88 on July 14, 2012.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Ms. Andres was born on December 2, 1923 to Ida Shelvin of Lafayette, LA and Robert Andres of Cade, LA. Ms. Andres worked at various small restaurants in the Lafayette area as a cook.

Her surviving relatives include: one son, Arthella Andres of Lafayette, LA; one daughter, Linda Caillet of Los Angeles, CA; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Barbara Cooper; her parents, Ida and Robert Andres and two brothers, Adam and Clifton Andres.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Syrie Funeral Home from 7 a.m. until time of service.
