Rose Mary George Carmouche

Lafayette - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Church for Rose Mary Carmouche, 64, born July 13, 1947 and passed away peacefully on Friday, July 6, 2012 at Lafayette General Medical Center surrounded with love by her family and close friends.

Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

A native of Lafayette, Louisiana, Rose retired from Lafayette General Medical Center in 2002. She then dedicated her life and love to her family, providing laughter, support, encouragement and always good times. She had a smile and sense of humor that was one of a kind, one that will carry us through these difficult times.

She leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter, Kimberly (Doremus) George; two sons, Joseph (Melissa) Carmouche, Jr., Kevin Carmouche, Sr. and fiancé, Angela Broussard of Lafayette; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Betty (Ronald) Sampay of Carencro and Myra (Clarence) Celestine of Lafayette; three brothers, Clifford George and companion, Jeanette Brooks, Jerry (Sandra) Parker and Gradney (Cynthia) George, all of Lafayette; mother-in-law, Anna Mae Glaude and a host of relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, Joseph Lee Allen Carmouche, Sr.; her parents, Harry Parker and Anna Mae George and one brother, James George, all of Lafayette.

Visitation will be held Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Syrie Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.
