Lafayette – Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for Hazel Howard, 82, who died July 8, 2012 at Regional Medical Center of Acadiana.

Interment will be in Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery.

She is survived by one son, John Howard, Jr.; one sister, Melba Angelle; grandchildren, Tasha and Phillip Howard, Jr. and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Howard, Sr.; son, Phillip Howard, Sr.; siblings, Louis Compton, Alzina and Lillian Jones, Roy Jones, Ezabe Jones and Mable Prejean.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Syrie Funeral Home from 7 a.m. until time of service.
