Lafayette – Funeral services will be held Monday, July 9, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church for James Joseph Papillion, 65, who died July 4, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.

Services will be conducted by Fr. Lambert A. Lein, SVD.

Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro, LA.

He is survived by four daughters, Peggy (Forrest, Jr.) Monette, Jennifer (Mitchell Breaux, Sr.) Papillion, Roxanne (John, Jr.) Carmouche and Christina Papillion; ten grandchildren, Martinique Frazier, Arielle Frazier, Mitchell Breaux, Jr., Meghan Breaux, Thaj Papillion, Johnathan Carmouche, Stephanie Carmouche, Tevin Carmouche, Antonio Papillion and Adrianna Papillion; five sisters, Agnes Charles (Wilson, Sr.), Annabelle Jones, MaryAnn Prejean, MaryAlice (Ernest) Begnaud, Judy Papillion; three brothers, Chester Papillion, LeRoy Papillion, LeeAllen (Evadelle) Papillion.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Genella “Gene” Papillion; his grandson, Christian James Monette; his mother, Annastein “Annie” Papillion; his father, Lawrence “Popete” Papillion; four brothers, Clarence Papillion, Paul Papillion, Walter Papillion and Michael Papillion and one niece, Peaches Durel.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 9, 2012 at St. Anthony Catholic Church from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.

A rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m.
