Lafayette - Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Progressive Baptist Church for Shirley Jean Mills Dixon, 70, who died May 21, 2012 at her residence in Youngsville, LA.

Interment will be in Progressive Baptist Church Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Leo Dixon of Youngsville, LA; two grandsons, Trevor Dixon of Youngsville, LA and Willie Lewis of Baton Rouge, LA; two brothers, Issac Walls of Alexandria, LA and Russell Mills, Jr. of New Orleans, LA; two sisters, Barbara Broussard of Albuquerque, NM and Cheryl Mills of New Orleans, LA; an aunt, Mildred Jenkins of Alexandria, LA; one Godchild, Joseph Winchester, Jr. of Alexandria, LA and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her two sons, Kenneth Mills Dixon and Tyrone Dixon; her parents, Rosa Dearborne and Russell Mills.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Progressive Baptist Church from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
